Diane Ponder is a painter and digital photographer, sculptor and videographer. She was born in Virginia near the Atlantic Ocean and raised near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Since then, she has traveled and held residency in many places in the world. Her art has been shown in many more places. 

Her art was included in an Organic Exchange in Chicago which brought eco friendly art artisans and patrons together  This familiarizes everyone with incorporating sensitivity to climate change and other environmental concerns 

She has shown recently in New York galleries, Chicago’s Koehnline museum, the Racine Art Museum and in art centers and art fairs nationally, internationally and virtually. 

She has been curated by Dorothy Krakauer including shows at the Blue Gallery midtown and JMC in Hell’s Kitchen NYC.

She has also shown at The Theater of the New City in the east village several times. Art on Paper and Sattelite Art Fair in Miami. 

Current show “Hygge”, curated by influencer Jenny Lam, is online. She is also currently in the Venice Biennale through the European Cultural Center and Gabriel Fine Art Gallery.

Tangerine Dream an abstract on linen painting, is currently showing in a castle in Ireland.

Diane is also in an upcoming show at the 100 year old Oak Park Art Center. She has also shown at the Chicago Cultural Center and many other Chicago landmarks.

She has a painting certificate from the Graham School of the University of Chicago.

Diane feels a connection with nature and humanity at the bird sanctuary on Lake Michigan in Chicago which is soothing and meditative. Her current art studio is on the bank of the south branch of the Chicago River.
